Are you looking for a lifestyle orientated Reservations and Events Co-ordinator role where you are part of a team that feels like a family; that values authenticity and playfulness; that is based in beautiful countryside; that gives you the creative freedom to help build an audience and connect like minds to create positive change in the world?
West Lexham Retreat Centre is one of the UK’s most innovative retreat centres. Currently, we focus on hiring our events rooms and barn/cottage bedrooms for retreats, away days, festival weddings and our treehouses and bell tents for holidays. We have 22 acres with a boating lake, river, swimming pool, tennis court, and both formal and wild gardens. We are run on social enterprise principles, renewable energy, built on upcycled materials with top design as a key USP. We are about to start a major game-changing project, building a large kitchen garden to supply food for our new restaurant/cafe. This new building will include a library, reception, shop, outside amphitheatre, offices and staff room. We are also putting in a gym, sauna, hot tub and treatment rooms. We are gearing up to provide educational courses, to become a 'content and ethos' based destination. We will curate content such as short courses, yoga & meditation, talks and kids’ activities.
The role of Reservations and Events Co-ordinator includes:
- Being the first point of contact on the telephone and email.
- Converting enquiries from holiday makers, retreat leaders, wedding couples and businesses.
- Juggling various bookings and fitting them together optimally to maximise revenue.
- Selling the place to guests and bringing it alive on show-rounds.
- Helping with pricing and developing event packages.
- Answering post-sale customer questions and managing the relationship smoothly before, during and after the event.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A fantastic communicator who is upbeat and engaging.
- Experienced in sales and customer relations.
- Commercially savvy and a good negotiator.
