Please note this is a Primary Care Health Care Assistant role and as such is a clinical one. This is not a care assistant role. We are looking for a Primary Care Support (HCA) worker to join our existing team. The role is a very varied one; our current team is highly skilled and we are seeking another HCA to help with the workload across our 6 member practices. Main duties of the job

This will suit someone who has experience as an HCA in general practice although our team does perform additional tasks that a practice HCA may not have. This is a wonderful opportunity for an HCA to further their development and learn new clinical skills within an experienced and cohesive team. West Leeds PCN (WLPCN) is a mature and visionary PCN with an extensive workforce. Weprovide enhanced clinical services across six GP surgeries within the Pudsey and Bramley area, with a totalpatient population of approximately 70k.

Job responsibilities

Our current highly skilled Primary Care Support workers undertake the following tasks:

  • ECG test (but not reading and assessing of the results)
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Physical checks for patients with serious mental illness (SMI) and learning disabilities (LD)
  • Dopplers
  • Stocking measurements
  • Diabetic foot checks
  • FeNo (respiratory) testing **
  • Smoking cessation(planned) **
  • Long term condition reviews

** If you are not yet proficient in these we may be able to offer training

Qualifications

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
