This is an exciting opportunity to support the effective running of the Office of the Chief Executive, providing high‑level administrative support to the Chief Executive, Directors, Corporate Management Team (CMT), and Executive Management Team (EMT), while also helping to lead and strengthen the Executive Support Team. We are seeking an organised, motivated, and politically aware Senior Executive Support Officer to play a key role at the heart of the Council’s leadership team.
As Senior Executive Support Officer, you will:
- Provide high‑quality, resilient and flexible support to the Chief Executive, Directors, CMT and EMT.
- Under the direction of the PA to the Chief Executive, lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Executive Support function, supervising Executive Support Officers and coordinating workloads to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Deliver enhanced support to Directors, including preparing briefing notes, conducting research, and producing key papers to support informed decision‑making.
- Deputise for the PA to the Chief Executive, ensuring business continuity and a seamless Executive Support function.
