We are looking for an experienced Business Support Officer who is interested in a new challenge in a fast-paced role within our Business Support Team. You will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective administrative support service to several operational teams within the organisation. These teams will include Environmental Services, Planning and Regulatory Services, Housing and Corporate and Customer Services. The administrative tasks will include Right to Buy and Insolvency, Environmental Services, Housing, Legal, HR and supporting the customer feedback process.
Key Skills and Responsibilities
- Inputting and extracting data using a range of management information systems, to support with the processing of purchase orders/invoices and working to strict deadlines to ensure that the work is completed in a timely manner.
- Collating data to support with performance management.
- Retrieving files from the basement including filing and co-ordinating of files.
- Responding to telephone, written enquiries and electronically delivered queries ensuring that the appropriate information and advice is provided.
- Excellent ICT skills, including the ability to use Word, Excel, Outlook and other ICT packages as required.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, liaising with members of the public, senior managers, and staff members within the organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills, work methodically, be able to prioritise your workload and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work as a team player and use your initiative with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate a resilient and positive attitude with the ability to contribute constructive ideas to the team to support continuous improvement.
