We are looking for an Experienced Landscaper to join our landscaping division. This is a thrilling opportunity for an eager, adept gardener to be a part of a thriving business and growing friendly team.
West Hill is looking for a confident, productive and inventive person who is organised and has excellent communication skills. You will be working in all weather, and for this reason, we will require you to have a good level of physical fitness and health. As well as being motivated to learn and improve, you will need a strong work ethic and be reliable and committed.
You will need to thoroughly complete the necessary documentation accurately, particularly material records, both handwritten as well as digital.
As a Skilled Hard Landscaper, you will be essential in transforming outdoor spaces designed by our in-house garden designer and reporting to the Landscape Manager. You will have a good understanding of using site levels and must be able to work from site drawings/plans. We are looking for someone who has good all-round knowledge of the industry and has a keen eye for detail and passion to suit. Working in all weathers and with an efficient use of time is important.
The ideal candidate would have experience with using mini-plant machinery. Interaction with customers is vital, so you should be confident talking to clients about their gardens and suggesting improvements, development and problem-solving. All equipment, including vehicles, needs to be regularly cleaned and maintained in good working order.
The prospective candidate must be proficient and experienced in hard landscaping, and able to manage a job within good time frames. Applicants must have skills and experience in the following:
- Full garden project builds
- Patios
- Decking
- Retaining Walls (stone/block/brick)
- Raised Sleeper Beds
- Paths (inc edging)
- Laying Turf
- Fencing
Excellent rate of pay, subject to experience. On-site free parking, pension, Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, birthday bonus after 5 years, regular socials with the team. Uniform, van and kit provided. Training options available.
