Overview

We are seeking a Carpentry Lecturer or experienced carpenter to teach in an educational setting at the Hemel Hempstead Campus or the Luton Campus. We have hourly paid, part-time and full-time roles available. The successful candidate may teach and assess learners across Level 1 and 2 qualifications as well as adult part-time and apprenticeship programmes. Our Carpentry courses are delivered by tutors with extensive knowledge and professional expertise and involve working with employers to develop students and their own skills.

Holding a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential as training can be provided. Assessor and/or IQA qualifications would be advantageous but can be gained as part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and assess learners across Level 1 and 2 qualifications as well as adult part-time and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Deliver Carpentry courses using industry knowledge, and work closely with employers to develop students and their skills.
  • Support learners of all ages and abilities to achieve their potential.
  • Collaborate with the department to maintain high teaching standards and contribute to curriculum development as required.

Campus locations: Hemel Hempstead and Luton. You will have the full support of a dynamic team; training and development are encouraged to upskill.
