The Band 6 - IT Contracts and Finance Lead supports the Head of IT Supplier Management in managing the portfolio of IT contracts. The role involves reporting on fixed and variable charges from each contract to ensure accurate, informed, and up-to-date monthly billing cycles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with third-party IT system suppliers, particularly in the West Herts area.
- Producing accurate and timely reports on contracting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing specialist advice on mitigating and managing risks within contracts to minimize financial, clinical, reputational, performance, and business risks.
- Managing processes such as raising purchase orders, ledger account reconciliations, and negotiating monthly statements of account with suppliers.
- Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure contract costs are accurate and comprehensive.
- Leading communication efforts to build understanding and increase adoption of major IT contracts across the organization.
- Communicating ICT legal and commercial concepts clearly, and delivering complex presentations to executive stakeholders.
- Serving as the primary contact for suppliers, resolving complex queries, and ensuring prompt payments.
