The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

We are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Band 3 Supply Chain/Ward Inventory Controller. This role involves utilizing various IT systems through both desktop and handheld devices. The position encompasses a broad scope of responsibilities, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency.

These duties include receiving goods, stock rotation and replenishment, cycle counting, internal distribution, and supporting the migration to a full Inventory Management system within the organisation. The post holder will work closely with the wider Supply Chain team but will also be required to work independently and unsupervised on occasion.

This position can be physically demanding at times, and the post holder will be required to follow safe manual handling practices to ensure deliveries are received, booked in, and transported to their end destination safely and efficiently. It will occasionally be necessary to travel to other Trust sites to provide cover.

To order and stow stock at ward/department level, using barcode systems where materials management and theatres solutions have been established for agreed stocked product lines.

Top-up of wards and clinical areas to be carried out in accordance with pre-determined schedule.

Timely receipt of orders placed forward top-up on Trust Inventory system.

To replenish, receipt, issue, and stow stock using Genesis system.

Stock to be rotated by expiry date when topping-up storage locations, ensuring stock with shortest life is in position to be used first.

To process requisitions on the computer system in accordance with an agreed input timetable, with delegated responsibility for authorising orders for wards and departments.

To ensure any returns to suppliers are processed efficiently, with the correct paperwork, and a credit is raised by the supplier.

To maintain professional and effective relationships with all key stakeholders.

To work collaboratively with other Supply Chain Controllers to adopt standardised best practice initiatives across all areas and in line with Supply Chain Manager’s instructions.

To deal with queries in a professional and efficient manner, treating customers as you would wish to be treated and promoting a “get it right first time” ethos.

To organise and prioritise workloads which have competing deadlines, whilst managing these conflicting demands efficiently.
