The Role
At West Ham United, we don’t just develop footballers — we develop people. We’re looking for an Academy Player Care Officer to support the welfare, wellbeing and holistic development of players across our Men’s Academy (U9–U21). Working under safeguarding oversight, you’ll play a key role in supporting young players and their families through academy life, transitions and life beyond football — all delivered The West Ham Way.
What You’ll Do
- Support on the delivery of the Academy Player Care & 360 Hammers LifeSkills programme
- Support age-appropriate workshops and Holistic Hammers days
- Provide guidance and support to players, parents and families
- Support player & parent voice, sharing feedback responsibly
- Assist with inductions, transitions and exit processes
- Work closely within the MDT, sharing and escalating information appropriately
- Support players living at Academy House within safeguarding boundaries
- Attend domestic & international tours and tournaments
- Record welfare and safeguarding information on My Concern
- Contribute to audits, PGAAC compliance and safeguarding supervision
- Engage in CPD in line with Premier League & FA requirements
