Reports to: Head of Coaching & Player Development.

Responsible for: U11 & U12 Part-Time Coaches.

Location: Chadwell Heath & Little Heath Training Grounds.

Contract: Full-Time.

Job Purpose: To lead and manage the U11 & U12 phase, overseeing players and staff through planning, delivery, and review within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) environment. The role includes responsibility for matchday operations and maintaining high standards on and off the pitch.

Qualifications (Essential)

  • UEFA A Licence
  • Advanced Youth Award

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and review of coaching sessions aligned to the Academy Philosophy
  • Oversee matchday preparation, performance, and post-match review
  • Ensure all players have an Individual Development Plan (IDP)
  • Upload all sessions and TMRs to Kitman Labs/FIP within 48 hours

Leadership & Planning

  • Drive a positive learning culture within the phase
  • Lead weekly and monthly phase meetings
  • Maintain high standards for players and staff
  • Support player transitions between phases

Review & Data

  • Deliver mid- and end-of-season player reviews
  • Maintain accurate performance data (TMR, Kitman Labs/FIP, IDPs)
  • Review game footage linked to the syllabus and IDPs

Planning Cycle

  • Annual (Macro): Oversee delivery and review of the coaching syllabus
  • Support recruitment, retention, and release decisions
  • Conduct part-time staff appraisals
  • 8-Weekly (Meso): Review previous blocks and plan upcoming work
  • Coordinate IDPs, games programmes, and syllabus delivery
  • Support cross-age group playing opportunities
  • Contribute to CPD planning and delivery
  • Weekly (Micro): Plan and deliver weekly programmes and IDPs
  • Organise squads, formats, and games
  • Support the development of Foundation Phase coaches
  • Communicate programme updates with staff and parents

  • Promote the safety and welfare of children and young people
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns immediately
  • Comply with health & safety, equality, GDPR, and club policies
  • Engage in required CPD and professional qualifications
