West Ham United – Social Media Executive (Women’s Team).
Location: London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, E20 2ST / Chadwell Heath, East London.
Contract: Permanent.
Salary: TBD at interview stage.
Hours: Full-time with flexibility required for evenings, weekends & matchdays.
Matchday Requirement: Required to work Women’s matchdays as directed.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative, organised and passionate Social Media Executive to help lead and coordinate the Women’s social media channels. You’ll play a key role in planning content, covering matchdays, growing engagement, and delivering innovative storytelling that connects with supporters locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and publish engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, Facebook & WhatsApp Channels.
- Lead live Women’s matchday social coverage including behind‑the‑scenes content, live updates & fan‑focused storytelling.
- Create social‑first content including player‑led videos, matchday clips & behind‑the‑scenes features.
- Work closely with marketing, communications, partnerships & retail teams to align campaigns and messaging.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers & videographers to maintain strong creative and brand standards.
- Track KPIs including engagement, reach, follower growth, watch‑time & campaign performance.
- Use analytics and insights to optimise content strategy and improve supporter experience.
- Ensure all content follows Club policies, safeguarding responsibilities & league regulations.
Skills & Experience Needed
- Experience managing social media channels, ideally within sport, entertainment or major brands.
- Proven ability to create high‑quality content under tight deadlines.
- Strong video editing, copywriting & creative storytelling skills.
- Deep understanding of football culture, fan behaviour & fast‑moving news cycles.
- Experience using social analytics tools such as Blinkfire and native platform insights.
- Confident working in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments.
- Skilled in Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Premiere.
