An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Soft Tissue Therapist / Masseur to join our team on a sessional basis, supporting our Women’s First Team and Men’s U21s. This role will involve working across training sessions, matchdays, and recovery days, providing high-quality soft tissue therapy to support performance, recovery, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver soft tissue therapy to players under the guidance of the Head of Medical to support performance, recovery, and injury rehabilitation.
- Support matchday operations, including assisting the Lead Physiotherapist with acute injury management and emergency procedures (within scope of practice).
- Maintain high standards of safe and effective practice at all times.
- Accurately record all treatments and interventions in line with governance requirements and provide updates to the Lead Physiotherapist as required.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team and contribute positively to team culture.
Person Specification
- Minimum Level 4 Massage Qualification.
- Member of the Sports Massage Association (or other recognised association).
- First Aid Qualification.
- Experience working with elite young athletes.
- Experience working with female athletes.
- Experience delivering treatment of sports injuries.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
