Job Overview
West Grantham Church of England Secondary Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated Inclusion Centre Leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of our Inclusion Centre provision.
Working alongside the Vice Principal for Inclusion and wider pastoral team, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, engage positively with school and achieve success both academically and personally.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and ambitious practitioner to lead our Inclusion Centre provision, playing a key role in supporting some of our most vulnerable pupils whilst further developing their own leadership skills and professional practice.
There will be opportunities for career development - including supporting with wider school inclusion support for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operation of the Inclusion Centre—a small, on-site provision supporting students, providing a mix of academic and creative support based on individual needs.
- Provide academic and pastoral support for pupils with additional and complex needs.
- Design and deliver personalised support programmes to improve engagement and progress, with an aim for students to progress back into mainstream lessons.
- Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
- Mentor pupils and help them develop resilience, confidence and positive learning behaviours.

- Has experience of working successfully with young people.
- Builds positive relationships and has excellent communication skills.
- Is organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities.
- Has high expectations and a genuine commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.
