We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Operator to join our busy Warehouse team based at our Cowie site. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where you will contribute to the safe and efficient movement, organisation and preparation of goods across a 3-shift operational pattern. This is a temporary position, reporting directly to the GM Logistics.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse machinery and equipment safely and to required standards.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles, typically around 21 trucks per shift (approx. one every 18 minutes).
- Pre-assemble a minimum of 20 loads per shift, which requires extended periods operating warehouse equipment.
- Follow all health & safety protocols, including SSOW and risk assessments.
- Maintain clean, tidy and organised working areas.
- Stack goods accurately in designated storage bays.
- Use Microsoft AX and RF-Smart systems for stock movements.
- Prepare loads in accordance with DSA guidelines.
- Conduct quarterly cycle counts, including removing, scanning and replacing stock.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to carry out physical tasks safely and accurately.
- Strong concentration and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Good judgement of measurements (weights, heights, lengths).
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Adaptability to operate various warehouse equipment following training.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, working closely with colleagues and visiting drivers.
- Commitment to maintaining strict safety standards.
