About the role
We are recruiting a Temporary Payroll Specialist to support the Finance Manager with the accurate and compliant delivery of UK payroll across our manufacturing sites. This role requires hands-on payroll experience and regular interaction with stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of UK payroll for employees and pensioners
- Maintaining payroll systems, records and payroll data
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, pensions, Auto Enrolment and RTI
- Preparing and submitting year-end payroll requirements to meet statutory deadlines
- Preparing third-party payment requests and ensuring timely payment
- Completing P46 car documentation
- Responding to payroll queries from employees across the UK
- Supporting internal and external payroll audits, including SOX requirements
- Carrying out weekly and monthly minimum wage checks
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc payroll and finance tasks
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Proven experience in an end-to-end UK payroll role
- Strong technical payroll knowledge and up-to-date understanding of legislation
- CIPP qualification (or equivalent)
- Good IT skills, including Excel and payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
