Temporary Payroller

Location: Cowie, Stirling

Contract: Temporary

About the role

We are recruiting a Temporary Payroll Specialist to support the Finance Manager with the accurate and compliant delivery of UK payroll across our manufacturing sites. This role requires hands-on payroll experience and regular interaction with stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities

  • End-to-end processing of UK payroll for employees and pensioners
  • Maintaining payroll systems, records and payroll data
  • Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, pensions, Auto Enrolment and RTI
  • Preparing and submitting year-end payroll requirements to meet statutory deadlines
  • Preparing third-party payment requests and ensuring timely payment
  • Completing P46 car documentation
  • Responding to payroll queries from employees across the UK
  • Supporting internal and external payroll audits, including SOX requirements
  • Carrying out weekly and monthly minimum wage checks
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc payroll and finance tasks

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Proven experience in an end-to-end UK payroll role
  • Strong technical payroll knowledge and up-to-date understanding of legislation
  • CIPP qualification (or equivalent)
  • Good IT skills, including Excel and payroll systems
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
