This role is on a rota basis. The role would be Monday to Friday and 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8.30am-12.30pm). Mostly based at Tollcross but may need to cover a shift at our branch practice at Morningside.

West End Vets is a small animal practice with a passionate team of 5 vets, 3 nurses, and 4 receptionists. We pride ourselves on our friendly and collaborative environment where everyone is supported in providing the best possible care to animals. We have two small animal practices in Tollcross and Morningside in the beautiful historic city of Edinburgh.
About you:
We’re looking for a dedicated Veterinary Nurse to join our team. No two days will be the same, you will:
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional care to both our patients and their owners every day.
- Support the outcome of patients care in all aspects of clinical work as part of the team.
- Ensure Quality is maintained by keeping our practice in excellent condition- ensuring quality of care and the best possible outcomes for every patient.

- Contribute to creating a positive environment, fostering a friendly, welcoming and supportive team culture.
- Communicate with confidence, use your exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal-to build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues, clients, and the pets they love.
What the role will involve:
- Monitoring anaesthesia
- In patient care (dealing with medical and surgical patients)
- Helping in dispensary medication and ordering stock
- Nurse consultations
- Lab work (urinalysis, blood work etc.)
