Join our vibrant junior school as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant and help every child thrive. We are seeking a skilled, compassionate practitioner who can support high-quality teaching and learning across the curriculum, adapting approaches to meet a wide range of abilities and needs. You will plan and deliver targeted interventions, use assessment to inform next steps, and work closely with teachers to secure strong progress and positive outcomes for all pupils—regardless of their starting points. Working pattern:

  • Mon-Thurs 8.30am-4.30pm
  • Fri 8.30am-3.30pm

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A motivated, energetic team player with excellent communication skills
  • Experience and knowledge of how children learn
  • Reliable and proactive in planning ahead and problem solving
  • Ability to use own initiative to support the individual needs of children
  • Ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with children and colleagues
  • Adaptable and flexible with a calm approach
  • Confident in delivering interventions to small groups and adapting these with confidence

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential part of this role. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post.
