Salary: Scale F £24,551 – £26,205 p/a

Permanent Part Time – 36.5 hrs per week Term time plus 1 week

The Family Support Worker will be responsible for identifying, organising and implementing interventions to support children and families, be a key member of the safeguarding team and work closely alongside all staff. You will represent the school in professional meetings and be competent in collating and presenting information in a succinct and accurate manner.

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30-4.30pm, Friday 8:30 - 3.30pm

The applicant will have:

  • support families where there are early signs of social, emotional, health, behavioural needs, deprivation or other additional needs

  • experience of working with different agencies to support families
  • work with school and families to improve attendance
  • experience of working within all areas of safeguarding i.e. Child Protection, Child in need and Early Help.

We actively welcome applicants from out of Norfolk. Visits to the school by appointment are warmly welcomed, although this will not prejudice those applying out of county. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. To this end, you may be required to undergo pre-employment checks and Enhanced DBS check will be carried out before the post begins. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential part of this role. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post. Guidance about whether a conviction or caution should be disclosed can be found on the Ministry of Justice website.
