The predicted salary is between 16.07 - 16.07 £ per hour.

Salary – Scale F, £15.06 - £16.07 per hour

Permanent Part Time 15 hours per week (days to be agreed at interview) Term Time plus 1 week

We are seeking a passionate, adaptable and highly organised Assistant SENDCo to support the leadership of SEND across the school. The Assistant SENDCo is not solely an administration post but a specialist coordination role. You will be the bridge between our families, our staff, and external agencies. By managing the complex statutory requirements of SEND, you ensure that our teachers have the information they need to be successful and that our parents feel heard and supported.

We are looking for an Assistant SENDCo who:

  • Has experience of working with children with SEND
  • Has good communication skills
  • Can support teachers with strategies and pupil information
  • Has the ability to build strong and positive relationships with colleagues and families
  • Has resilience and the moral drive to support from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Has enthusiasm and willingness to take part in the broader life of the school
  • Enjoys being part of a happy, hard working and fun team.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An Enhanced DBS check will be carried out before the post begins. This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and you will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced DBS check with barred list. If you have information to declare it may be protected under the Exceptions Orders and you may not be required to declare it. You will be asked to make a criminal conviction declaration if you are shortlisted for the post. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
