There are two posts available, one based at Richmond Street in Clydebank and the other at Elm Road in Dumbarton.

West Dunbartonshire Council aims to provide residents with a reliable refuse collection service. As a Refuse Collection Loader, you will ensure refuse is collected regularly. Your responsibilities include:

  • Dealing politely with the public
  • Assisting with advice when necessary
  • Collecting waste and loading it into refuse collection vehicles on assigned routes
  • Uplifting various waste types including residual waste and recycling materials
  • Assisting drivers with manoeuvring vehicles
  • Performing other tasks as required, always complying with safe systems of work
  • Seeking advice from the driver when needed
