A vacancy has arisen for a relief 52 week senior catering operative in the Dumbarton area. This is a part time post with fixed work days (Mon, Tues and alternate Wednesdays).

The role of a Relief Senior Catering Operative is to work from a base location and, as required, support other locations throughout their working week for service continuity within schools and offices in the area.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational requirements of the kitchen. Duties will include:

  • Supervision of staff
  • Food preparation and service of food in compliance with the Nutritional requirements for Food and Drinks in schools (Scotland) regulations 2008, and other relevant legislation
  • Ensuring that equipment is cleaned, checked and maintained
  • Following all Health and Safety guidelines
  • Completing and recording all relevant paperwork
  • Collection and reconciliation of West Dunbartonshire Council Catering income

The post holder requires to hold REHIS Food.
