Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Council Roads Operations are currently looking to recruit 2 new Roadworker Drivers to join the team.

The successful candidates will undertake a range of road maintenance and street lighting tasks such as laying modular paving slabs, kerbs, footway surfacing, carriageway surfacing, structural patching, drainage works, gully motor and temporary traffic management including erecting and removing signs, barriers, and cones and other related roads maintenance activities.

Successful candidates will be required to contribute towards the Council\’s winter/summer maintenance activities such as winter gritting, flood management and road traffic accidents.

Applicants must hold an SVQ Level 2 Road Maintenance, HAUC certification and either hold or be willing to work towards an HGV Driving Licence within 12 months of start date, as this is an essential requirement.
