Please note this post has a fixed term effective date of October with the end date of 18/04/2027. This is a part time post and salary will be pro rata to the number of hours worked.

West Dunbartonshire Council is looking for candidates who are enthusiastic and committed to sustaining school improvement and providing high quality learning and teaching, in line with key Council priorities of inclusion and raising the aspirations, achievements and attainment for all students. The successful candidate will be required to work Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays.

Responsibilities

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Education body and removal from the Register of the General Teaching Council.
