The post is fixed term until 31/03/2026.
Hourly Rate β Β£13.64
Vacancies have arisen for back shift Facilities Assistants within the authority\βs Alexandria & Dumbarton area. Location preference will be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
- The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operation of Facilities Management Services within the premises.
- Undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need, including staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.
- Adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations; previous experience in this line of work would be an advantage.
- The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities note
The employment for which you are applying is exempted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are \βspent\β under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Education body and removal from the Register of the General Teaching Council.
