As part of this strategy, the Corporate Procurement Unit (CPU) are recruiting a Procurement Officer.
About the post: You will develop and implement contract strategies that align with the Procurement Strategy and deliver best value for money in the procurement of routine/ low risk supplies, services and works as designated by the Business Partners – Strategic Procurement.
Requirements
About you:
You will have:
- Experience of operating in a project like environment; where multi stakeholder relationship management is critical to success and within a project like environment with significant process and procedure controls.
- Sound communication skills, able to effectively influence, persuade and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good planning, organisational and commercial skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to assess, accurately analyse and evaluate a range of data including cost, risk and benefits and present it in a useable format.
- Ability to support the development of specifications and terms and conditions and managing quotation documentation for routine sourcing.
- Positive, flexible, adaptable, motivated, delivery focused, organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities within challenging but agreed timescales and able to make effective decisions within a demanding environment.
- Experience of supporting project teams / User Intelligence Groups to successfully achieve agreed outcomes.
- Committed to professional development and to supporting the development of others.
- Credible, reliable and able to effectively promote the procurement function with high standards of professional ethics and personal conduct.
- HNC in Procurement or Supply or HND level in a relevant business related discipline or equivalent work related experience.
