A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a talented and confident Personal Assistant (PA) to provide professional administrative and secretarial support to Chief Officers of West Dunbartonshire Council. You will be working at a senior level in a fast-paced and busy environment which will call upon you to respond quickly to changing priorities, as well as be prepared for future activity.
In addition to planning work schedules, diary appointments and prioritising requests, you will also be a trusted support in often highly confidential matters. You will be required to pull together briefings and reports, presentations and correspondence in partnership with senior managers to a high standard. This is a demanding post and the successful candidate must be resilient, highly organised, a problem solver and able to use their own initiative. It is also an exceptional role that offers a varied and rewarding opportunity for the right individual.
You will have extensive previous experience as a PA at a senior level. With excellent attention to detail and strong IT skills, in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word, you will have the ability to demonstrate decision making skills and be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will also be qualified in HNC/SVQ level 3 or equivalent. Also crucial to the role will be your excellent organisational and planning skills and your ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally. Being self-motivated and able to work under pressure is key to this role and time management skills are essential in providing that support. You must be highly pro-active in the working arrangements of the Chief Officer and provide a high level of support in a professional manner.
