Job Description This is a term-time post the salary will be pro-rata\’d to the hours worked. West Dunbartonshire Council is looking for candidates who are energetic and committed to supporting school improvement and providing high quality support to teaching staff, in line with key Council priorities or inclusion and raising the aspirations, achievements and attainment for all students. This role provides the management and supervision required for the effective running of the school office. With direction and support from the Business Manager and Senior Leadership team, the post holder is responsible for the first line management of the office staff. This includes dealing with all employee relations matters, co – ordinating and directing all administrative duties required within the school. This post holder also assists with liaising with external and internal partners with regard to school related issues such as schools estates, health & safety, school lets etc. Requirements This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council. Responsibilities The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are \”spent\” under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
