Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust are looking for 5 Leisure Attendants at Clydebank Leisure Centre.

2 posts – 37 hours, 1 post – 22.25 hours, 1 post – 29 hours, 1 post – 16.5 hours

The postholders will be responsible for the general day to day frontline operation of the leisure facility with a special emphasis on lifeguarding pools and water features, control of public and general health and safety, cleanliness and housekeeping of facilities. They will require to undertake a range of duties with a flexible day to day variable need.

The Leisure Attendants will contribute to the provision of an effective and efficient quality service, ensuring customer focused service delivery and the achievement of objectives, financial targets and performance standards within the establishment.

Candidates will be required to hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard (or equivalent) qualification and Standard Grade or Nat 4 Maths and English (or equivalent) as this is an essential requirement to the post.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are \”spent\” under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
