The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
As this post is part time, term time, the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked. West Dunbartonshire Council are delighted to offer the opportunity to highly motivated applicants who have a passion for working with children. The successful candidates will offer flexible support in the role of Learning Assistant working across Early Learning and Childcare Centres.
Applicants are required to be registered with, and maintain registration with, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Support Worker in Day Care of Children’s Services within 3 months of appointment. The preferred work pattern for this post will be Week 1 Thursday and Friday and Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30am - 2.30pm with a 30min unpaid break.
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
