West Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is on the lookout for one enthusiastic In-House Trainer to champion the training requirements for the Care at Home service. This role is key to empower Care at Home employees with the correct training that meet the changing needs for our service users.

What You\’ll Do

Empower the Workforce

Support the Care at Home service through the development and delivery of differing change initiatives including employee engagement, workshops, e-learn modules, and continuous improvement tools and techniques.

Contribute positively to the team effort in all areas of responsibility, maintaining high standards of service delivery at all times. Attend team meetings, training sessions and team events, participating in a positive manner.

Monitor, report and instruct all employees to complete WDC training induction passport and any other passports required for their role. Support all employees with their training requirements with their role.

Ensure all Home Carers maintain their requirements to refresh their training.

Responsible for on-boarding sessions for our new Home Carers. Collaborate for Success

Responsible for the effective delivery of externally accredited programmes for employees and managers and to enable individuals to achieve their qualifications.

Provide as required progress reports on training requirements for employees. Drive Strategic Development

Develop and maintain an intranet based training framework with related support materials and hand-out/guidance material.

Develop the training framework in a user-friendly and efficient format and ensure the Training framework is regularly refreshed and maintained.

Monitor and review own performance focusing on continual improvement of the service as a whole. Innovate and Inspire:

Create training sessions for particular topics which are required for employees within Care at Home which is required to meet National Care standards, Care inspectorate requirements and SSSC guidelines.

Keep up to date on best practice and developments on training needs.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975.
