An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated individuals to work within West Dunbartonshire Council's Children & Families Team. The aim of a Support Worker is to increase, through timely support and intervention, the life chances and opportunities of children and families most excluded and at risk within the community.
Although no formal qualifications are essential for this post, a SVQ Social Care or related qualification is desirable and a willingness to undertake vocational training is required. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic people to work in this challenging yet rewarding area. The successful candidates will be given regular support and supervision as well as vocational training opportunities. You will be expected to undertake a range of work with families and forge good home/school and nursery links. Some weekend work may be required and a full driving licence is essential.

Requirements:
- This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
- Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
