This advert is to join West Dunbartonshire Council's teaching supply list. Various locations/schools throughout the West Dunbartonshire area are currently available for supply work; therefore, it is not suitable for any current probationers or teachers who are not available until August.

Requirements
You will find the Head Teacher's report template attached to this advert. The relevant form (Teacher or Promoted Teacher) MUST be completed by your Head Teacher. Please upload your Head Teacher Report in the 'COVER LETTER' section of the application; you are not required to write a cover letter. Please note you will be unable to submit your application for our consideration without your Head Teacher's report; any submitted without a Head Teacher's report will be automatically rejected.
Responsibilities
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and as such, membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are 'spent' under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment, any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action by the Education body and removal from the Register of the General Teaching Council.
