As part of this strategy, the Corporate Procurement Unit (CPU) are recruiting a Procurement Officer. You will develop and implement contract strategies that align with the Procurement Strategy and deliver best value for money in the procurement of routine/low risk supplies, services and works as designated by the Business Partners – Strategic Procurement.

  • Experience of operating in a project-like environment where multi-stakeholder relationship management is critical to success.
  • Good planning, organisational and commercial skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to assess, accurately analyse and evaluate a range of data including cost, risk and benefits and present it in a usable format.
  • Positive, flexible, adaptable, motivated, delivery focused, organised, resilient and able to manage competing priorities within challenging but agreed timescales.
  • Able to make effective decisions within a demanding environment.
  • Experience of supporting project teams/User Intelligence Groups to successfully achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Committed to professional development and to supporting the development of others.
  • Credible, reliable and able to effectively promote the procurement function with high standards of professional ethics and personal conduct.

HNC in Procurement or Supply or HND level in a relevant business-related discipline or equivalent work-related experience.
