About the Role

Join Our Care at Home Team: Make a Real Difference Every Day! Are you passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in your community? We are looking for an experienced and motivated Business and Quality Lead to provide quality oversight and improvement planning across all areas of governance and compliance within West Dunbartonshire Care at Home Services. This is a dynamic and challenging role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of citizens by embedding quality and driving service improvement within Health and Social Care provision.

Care at Home Services include:

  • Mainstream Care at Home
  • Re-enablement
  • Community Alarms/telecare
  • Sheltered Housing options

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement planning across all governance and compliance areas.
  • Analyze service performance and identify themes to inform improvement strategies.
  • Support Care at Home Team Leads and Organisers in implementing new and existing systems, processes, and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate standards and key legislation, including Self-Directed Support implementation and eligibility criteria.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee training plans for all employees and ensure ongoing staff development.
  • Review service user feedback and Care Inspectorate requirements to ensure services meet needs and standards.
  • Act as first-line response for service complaints and support resolution.
  • Assist Team Leads and Organisers with wider organizational policies, including staff well-being, attendance management, and HR procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and quality assurance within Health and Social Care.
  • Experience in service improvement and operational process development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage change and support teams in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and Self-Directed Support legislation.
  • Experience in Care at Home or similar social care services.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.

What is the work pattern?

  • 35 hours per week

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children and Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
