We are seeking 2 Domestic Assistants to join our team. You will be required to carry out a range of cleaning activities, follow specific mandatory cleaning schedules and maintain records such as weekly work schedules and deep cleans. Duties will include the use of powered cleaning equipment such as steam cleaners and floor cleaners to ensure premises are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. You will be required to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the establishment and follow infection control guidelines.
Work Patterns are as follows:
- Post 2: 24 hours per week - 4/7 day rota, including weekend - Fixed Term to 31/1/26 (maternity cover)
This post is considered a Regulated Role with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
