West Dunbartonshire Council has a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to be an Apprentice Painter and Decorator. The Modern Apprentice will join the Council's Maintenance and Repairs team who are responsible for carrying out in excess of 60,000 repairs/alterations, capital investment improvements and safety checks to Tenant & Owner Occupied properties Factored by West Dunbartonshire Council each year among other projects. Maintenance and Repairs have 3 depots, one based at Cochno Street, Clydebank and the other 2 based at Overburn Avenue & Elm Road, Dumbarton covering both Alexandria and Dumbarton geographical areas.
We are looking to recruit a Modern Apprentice Painter and Decorator to be based in our Cochno Street depot in Clydebank. We welcome applications if you are aged 16-24 years (or up to age 29, if you are disabled or care experienced), a resident within West Dunbartonshire, have 3 National Grade 4's (one to include English) or equivalent or any other relevant qualifications and experience.
This will be a training contract and the post is fixed term until 01/09/2030. Interviews are planned to take place on 27/08/2026.
