The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.
As this post is part time, term time, the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked.
West Dunbartonshire Council are delighted to offer the opportunity to highly motivated applicants who have a passion for working with children. This post is peripatetic, and successful applicants may be relocated to a different centre at any time, based on service needs.
The preferred work pattern for this post will be Monday - Friday 8.45am - 2.45pm with a 30min unpaid break. Or the hours can be agreed with the Head Teacher to meet the needs of the centre.
Applicants are required to be registered with, and maintain registration with, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Support Worker in Day Care of Children’s Services within 3 months of appointment. More information can be found at: www.sssc.uk.com
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act.
