The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 € per year.
Please note that as this is a part-time post the salary will be Pro Rata to the hours worked. The role of a Relief Catering Assistant is to work from a base location and as required, support other locations throughout their working week as required for service continuity within school kitchens in the area.
Duties will include:
- Assisting in basic food preparation and service of all foods in compliance with the Nutritional Requirements for Food and Drinks in schools (Scotland) regulations 2008.
- Compliance with all the relevant legislation as required.
- Setting up and clearing away equipment for food service.
- General cleaning to a high standard including crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, kitchen and dining room areas, staff rest room and toilets.
The post holder will require to adhere to Food Safety System, Safe Systems of work and Health and Safety Legislation. Applicants should hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate as this is an essential requirement for this role. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
