The posts are 30 hours and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked. At Queens Quay House we put the needs of our Residents first. We are committed to delivering high standards of person-centred care in our busy and modern home, providing choices and independence ensuring our Residents feel safe and supported in their home.

We are looking for dynamic and caring Care Assistants to provide personal care and support to residents as directed by senior staff. You will maintain a clean, fresh and homely environment, providing person-centred care for individuals and groups of residents consistent with their needs through the provision of a range of duties including personal care and meaningful activities. You will support residents throughout the day to maintain their independence, assist and support them as required, and engage and listen to Residents' preferences in how they would like to be cared for.

Your role will include responding to enquiries from a wide range of people, including families and health professionals. To undertake this role effectively, you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving and people skills. We are looking for organised individuals with a positive, can-do approach who can work well under pressure with Senior Supports.

The successful candidates should hold an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6 or SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or be willing to undertake it in post within 3 months.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act.
