This post is Fixed Term until 03/01/2027. This post is part-time; the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked.
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 9.00am - 12 noon (or work pattern can be agreed with Head Teacher and Principal ELC Officer to meet the needs of the Centre).
Reporting directly to the Head Teacher and Principal ELC Officer, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of a comprehensive clerical and administrative service supporting the operations of an Early Learning & Childcare Centre. You will ensure the smooth running of the nursery office and provide a welcoming, professional reception service, responding to all enquiries by telephone or in person.
Your duties will also include managing and maintaining nursery data, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date, and stored on the appropriate computerised systems. General office responsibilities include photocopying, filing, document preparation, mail distribution, assisting with the arrangement of transport and outings, and routine cash handling tasks such as receiving and recording payments for school activities and uniforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, along with strong organisational and communication skills.
Requirements: This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
