The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
The posts are 30 hours and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked. At Queens Quay House we put the needs of our Residents first. We are looking for dynamic and caring Care Assistants to provide personal care and support to residents as directed by senior staff. To maintain a clean, fresh and homely environment, providing person-centred care for individuals and groups of residents consistent with their needs through the provision of a range of duties including personal care and meaningful activities. You will support residents throughout the day to maintain their independence, assist and support them as required. You will engage and listen to Residents' preferences in how they would like to be cared for.
Your role will include responding to enquiries from a wide range of people, including families and health professionals. To undertake this role effectively, you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving and people skills. We are looking for organised individuals with a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work well under pressure with Senior Supports.
The successful candidates should hold an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 6 or SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or be willing to undertake it in post within 3 months.
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
