Job Description This is a fixed term post until 31/03/2029.
West Dunbartonshire Council are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join a flexible team of professionals in delivering a high quality service within West Dunbartonshire Council Roads Asset Management team.
We are looking for a pro-active individual who has knowledge and experience in the inspection and maintenance of a road network.
You will work with the team to assist in the provision of all Roads Asset Management functions including :
- Roads Maintenance Estimating, Design and Supervision (footpath, carriageway and drainage works)
- Assistance with review, processing and inspection of Roads Construction Consents
- Inventory collection and recording utilising Asset management and GIS software
- Any necessary financial and performance monitoring and reporting
- Ensuring that all duties and responsibilities are fulfilled in terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
- Roads Safety Inspections The candidate will need to be confident with good verbal and written communication skills who can quickly establish good working relationships.
You will also need to be IT proficient as digital technology is used daily as part of the role.
You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team of Technical staff and will engage with a wide and diverse audience (Technical and non-Technical) as well as members of the public.
The role will also involve in person attendance at various meetings.
