The predicted salary is between 23000 - 27000 £ per year.

This is a fixed term post until 30/03/2027. The salary will be pro-rata to the term-time hours worked. Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? The successful candidate will offer flexible support in the role of Pupil and Family Support Worker. If you have experience of supporting children and have a good level of admin/IT/literacy/numeracy skills, we want to hear from you.

Whilst we do have some parameters that we need to work around, our Pupil & Family Support Workers are key to supporting transition times for children/families during and beyond the start/finish times of the school day. Interviews are planned to take place on 24/06/2026.

Requirements

This post is considered a Regulated Role with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities

The employment for which you are applying is excepted from the provisions of section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants are, therefore, not statutorily entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are "spent" under the provisions of the Act. In the event of employment any failure to disclose such convictions could result in dismissal or disciplinary action.
