Main Purpose of the Role
- Lead and oversee Early YearsFoundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1, and the Read Write Inc program
- Class based teacher in KS1classroom for 0.6 days
- Model outstanding classroompractice and support colleagues to raise teaching standards
- Contribute to the strategicleadership of our large, rapidly improving school
- Promote and uphold the school’scommitment to safeguarding and equality
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic andoperational leadership for EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Read Write Inc
- Support and develophigh-quality teaching and learning across these areas
- Act as a role model ofoutstanding classroom practice, coaching and mentoring staff as needed
- Contribute to whole-schoolself-evaluation and school improvement planning
- Work closely with theHeadteacher and senior leadership team
- Ensure robust safeguardingprocedures are in place and adhered to at all times
- Champion equality, diversity,and inclusion throughout the school
- Foster strong relationshipswith pupils, staff, parents and the community
- Seek permission from yourGoverning Board for temporary release ifcurrently employed elsewhere
