West Coventry Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated Academic Nurture Lead to support student transition from primary to secondary and from secondary to Post-16. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and ensuring all students, particularly the most vulnerable, are supported to succeed academically and personally.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students and act as a role model.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support personalised learning, behaviour, and wellbeing plans.
- Lead and support transition across KS2-KS3 and KS4-KS5.
- Identify and support vulnerable or disengaged students.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and destinations, taking action where needed.
- Work closely with parents, staff, and external agencies (including CAMHS) to improve outcomes.
- Support behaviour management and respond effectively to incidents.
- Contribute to transition events, open evenings, and enrichment activities.
