We have a great opportunity to join our Resources team based in Preston as a Station Resource Planner for 12 months. At Avanti West Coast, it is our mission to be the transport of choice, connecting our customers and communities across the West Coast. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is committed to keeping our trains moving. The Resources team plays a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our services.
As a crucial member, you will ensure our trains run smoothly and on time by efficiently resourcing station staff, producing base and weekly rosters in line with company standards, and maintaining effective communication with frontline teams and leadership.
As a Roster Resource Planner, You Will:
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with frontline staff and depot teams.
- Build strong working relationships with Customer Service, Planning, and Resource Operations teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer experience, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Accurately log all West Coast service resourcing details in line with company policy.
- Collaborate effectively with managers, the diagramming team, and Crewe Training Centre staff.
- Advise on rostering best practices, manage base roster input, and ensure compliance with Terms and Conditions.
- Support the Resources team in strengthening regional relationships and enhancing the customer journey.
