We are looking for a reliable and safety-consciousBus Shunter to join our team in Glasgow. This is an important role that helps ensure our buses are clean, safe and ready for service each day.

Working as part of our depot team, you will be responsible for moving vehicles around the depot, preparing them for cleaning, fuelling and maintenance, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across our fleet. Your work will play a vital part in helping us deliver a safe and reliable service to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely manoeuvring buses around the depot and designated parking areas
  • Positioning vehicles for cleaning, refuelling and maintenance activities
  • Carrying out basic depot housekeeping and yard duties as required
  • Reporting any vehicle defects, damage or safety concerns
  • Following all company health and safety procedures
  • Helping ensure vehicles are ready for the following day's service

What we're looking for

  • A full UK driving licence and either previous experience of shunting buses or other large vehicles, or a valid PCV driving licence with Category D entitlement.
  • A strong commitment to safety and following procedures
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • A reliable and dependable approach to work
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • The ability to carry out a role which involves regular walking, standing, bending and working both indoors and outdoors
