The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.
We are looking for a Full Time Bus and Coach Mechanic based at our Glasgow Charles Street depot to help maintain our fleet and ensure we operate to the highest possible standards.
Main responsibilities include:
- Vehicle maintenance, servicing and running repairs on a varied fleet (including MOT preparation)
- Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company’s Operator Licence
- The ability to organise daily workload, communicate effectively and work flexibly
- The ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards
Requirements for the role:
- You will be energetic, self-motivated, able to work unsupervised and thrive within a challenging yet rewarding environment
- You will have at least an SVQ Level 3 in Bus and Coach Engineering and Maintenance qualification (or an equivalent international qualification). If you don't have a qualification, you should have at least two years' experience repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles which you will need to evidence
- The role will either be 5 or 4 nights over 7
- A driving licence is required and PCV licence would be good to have, however we can help you get your licence
Salary/Benefits:
- Overtime for 6th day paid at time and a half
- 30 days paid holiday
