Job Description
The West Chester Area School District has a long-term substitute position available at the elementary level (must have appropriate valid PA certification):
1.0 LTS Teacher (Kindergarten) – Exton Elementary (October 3, 2025 – March 30, 2026)
To perform this position successfully, the candidate must meet the following minimum educational, training, skill, and ability requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with valid PA certification
- Ability to implement a holistic instruction and assessment system based on state academic standards
- Proficiency in instructional technology to enhance student learning
- Ability to design instructional programs aimed at addressing racial achievement gaps
- Effective interpersonal skills for communication with teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff, and external contacts
*Candidates without their PA teaching certificate must provide a College Verification of Eligibility Letter confirming completion of the program and eligibility for certification.
